        42nd Street lands in the deserts of Phoenix for a production that is anything but a mirage. 42nd Street is a successful Broadway stage musical, produced by David Merrick, which is based on the movie and contains songs from certain other Busby Berkeley movies from the 1930s. 42nd Street debuted on August 25, 1980 at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York. This musical was highly acknowledged by the Tony Awards, winning for best choreography and best musical, while it was nominated for best actor, actress, book, costume design, director and lighting designer.
