About ABBA The
Formed in 1996, bandmates Katja Nord and Camilla Dahlin started playing in clubs around Sweden under the band
name "Waterloo," based on one of ABBA's famous hits. Being avid fans of ABBA, they sought out to completely replicate the
sound and style of the band. Nord and Dahlin took on the roles of ABBA's Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad on stage,
even down to the intricate details of their costumes.
After establishing themselves in Sweden, Waterloo went on to tour
in Belgium in 1998, which marked their first international performance. The ABBA tribute band also gained momentum in Norway,
firmly taking their spot as the number one ABBA band in Norway in 2000. Shortly after, they got their big break when they
had the opportunity to compete in the European Soundmix Contest, Stars in Euro Eyes which reached over 16 million viewers.
2001, they began collaborating with the Danish production company CSB Entertainment ApS, and "ABBA – The Show" was born.
ABBA – The Show was the story of ABBA via extraordinary musical performances, and was accompanied by the National Symphony
Orchestra of London. The show garnered support from ABBA fans all across the world, and they were soon playing to sold out
venues worldwide. Original ABBA band members appeared during the show as guests of honor, adding an even more authentic touch
to the remarkable tribute performance. ABBA's Official International Fan Club even dubbed the show as being the "best ABBA
tribute show in the world."
