About the Artist
Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness, and Paavo Siljamäki
first got together to make their progressive trance music when Jono and Paavo were students together at the University of
Westminster studying electrical engineering. They started out s a duo and created their own record label, Anjunabeats, to
release their first record, Volume One. The success of the album cause them to team up with Tony McGuinness who was director
of marketing at Warner Records at the time. A string of successful singles followed and Above and Beyond began their career
as electronic music superstars in earnest. They have released three studio albums to date: Tri-State, Sirens of the Sea, and
Group Therapy, with two albums slated for release in 2014. Additionally, they have been part of 17 compilation albums and
have released more than twenty singles as Above and Beyond, with several others under the name Above and Beyond Presents,
Anjunabeats, Dirt Devils, Rollerball, Above and Beyond Presents Tranquility Base, and Zed-X. This ultra prolific act never
stops making new beats and touring so be sure to keep an eye out for whatever they have coming up next.
and Beyond's debut album Tri-State was an immediate hit, earning five stars from DJ Magazine and winning Best Underground
Dance Track for the album's single Air for Life at the Miami Music Conference in 2006. The same single was also voted as Tune
of the Year by influential radio show A State of Trance hosted by Armin van Buuren. This was just the beginning of a string
of awards that the collective would earn in years to come including more honors from DJ Magazine, the Miami Music Conference
and State of Trance, which voted their single Good for Me Tune of the Year as well, among many other international organizations.
In 2011 Above and Beyond were featured on the cover of DJ Magazine who named them the best DJ collective ever to come out
