Many other teams will simply make the NCAAs by the strength of their regular season play, with the ACC tournament simply deciding bragging rights for the off season.

This annual tradition since 1954 has decided the ACC Champion, which has been won by eight of the 12 ACC teams over the years. Recently Duke has been on top of the ACC, winning in '06 and '05.
