Air Force Falcons Basketball Road Games

Air Force Falcons Basketball Road Game tickets

Air Force Falcons Basketball Road Schedule in 2014-15

The Air Force Falcons are ready to soar across the country as they take to the road and match up with some tough teams away from home this season. The Falcons have a roster brimming with talented players, and the program is hoping that they can make a difference on the court. College basketball is always filled with exciting action, and that should hold true for the Falcons this season. As a part of the Mountain West Conference the Falcons regularly hit the floor to take on some of the best teams in the nation, and this season will be no different. The Falcons have a host of big matchups away from home that are sure to be tough contests.

The Falcons will take on the San Diego State Aztecs away from home this season in what could very well be one of their toughest matchups of the year. The Aztecs finished atop the Mountain West standings last season and are a perennial force in the conference. With head coach Steve Fisher leading the charge each and every season, the Aztecs are never easy to take down, but that is precisely what the Falcons will be aiming to do this year. Accomplishing that feat on the road would be a huge boost for this Falcons team.

The Falcons will also head out to play New Mexico this season, and the Lobos are another team that often is one of the better squads in the Mountain West. A game on the road against such a quality team is always a challenge, but a victory could prove to be a big confidence boost for the Falcons if they were able to make it happen. This is just one of the great matchups facing the Falcons away from home in 2014-15.

Air Force Falcons Basketball History

The Air Force Falcons basketball program has been around for a long time, and the Falcons have partaken in loads of memorable games that hold a special place in the hearts of the fan base. The team made its first NCAA Tournament back in 1960, and has appeared in March Madness multiple times since then. The Falcons have not yet won an NCAA Tournament game, but the team is looking to change that as soon as this season. The team has many rivals throughout the Mountain West Conference, as the Falcons are an established member of that league. Their biggest rivals could be Colorado State, with whom the Falcons hoopsters have had some incredible matchups over the years. The Falcons were able to win the regular season championship in the Mountain West Conference once, in 2004. The Falcons will look to add to their history with their best season yet.

Fan Experience

Attending a top college basketball game is one of the best experiences to be found in sports. Many of the top student athletes in the world take the court in college basketball, when this is combined with some of the most passionate fans in all of sports there is an atmosphere in the arena that cannot be found anywhere else. While seeing a game at Clune Arena is always a great time for any fan of the Air Force Falcons, hitting the road with the team is a totally different but also thrilling opportunity. If you've never seen the Falcons away from the confines of their home arena, then this is the season to change that. There is nothing more satisfying that seeing the Falcons silence the opposing crowd with a late three-pointer seal the win. When you're there in the stands for a big game, you'll see why so many people around the country head to arenas to see their favorite amateur hoops players in person.

Air Force Falcons Basketball Trivia

The Air Force Falcons have never won an NCAA Tournament, that is true, but the team did have a nice run in the NIT one year. When did that occur?

The answer is 2007, when the Falcons won their first three games in the NIT before losing out to Clemson in the tournament's semifinals. It remains the most successful postseason the school has ever had on the basketball court.

Great Players for the Air Force Falcons

The Air Force Falcons have never been about star power, but they have had some incredible athletes come through the program and contribute to winning seasons. The Falcons have had some great players over the years, but fans know that it takes a team to put together a memorable season. The Falcons have never had a player make it to the NBA, but that could change at any time. Make sure to get out to the arena to see the Falcons on the road this season, and you might just catch a glimpse of the next great player for the Falcons.
