Albany Great Danes are members of the America East Conference, a mid-major that has proven to be among the best in college
basketball. Each year regular season conference play in America East is full of incredible match ups and games that go down
to the wire. Typically, America East is a one-bid conference which places added importance on the conference tournament which
places the winner in the NCAA Tournament. Last season the conference tournament winner was the Albany Great Danes who managed
to win their first game in the Tournament before falling to the powerhouse Florida Gators. The conference is made up of nine
universities: the Albany Great Danes, the Binghamton Bearcats, the Hartford Hawks, the Maine Black Bears, the Maryland - Baltimore
County Retrievers, the UMASS - Lowell River Hawks, the New Hampshire Wildcats, the SUNY - Stony Brook Seawolves, and the Vermont
