Alkaline Trio Background
Trio's original lineup came together in 1996 and consisted of Matt Skiba, Rob Doran, and Glenn Porter. From the suburbs of
Chicago, this trio released several EPs throughout the late '90s, including Sundials (1997) and For Your Lungs Only (1998).
They also released their first full-length album in 1998, and Goddamnit received high praise from critics and fans alike,
with AllMusic's Mike DaRanco saying that the album is "hands down the perfect listening in the wake of a broken heart". Once
2001, rolled around, Alkaline Trio was one of the most talked about bands in the world. Their 2001 album, From Here to Infirmary,
scored a spot in the Billboard 200 and was their first album to gross six figures in sales.
Throughout the 2000s, Alkaline
Trio produced major hit singles like "Stupid Kid", "Private Eye", and "We've Had Enough", and they became one of the premier
bands in punk rock. Alkaline Trio started scoring spots on late night television talk shows and major worldwide tours, where
their loyal fans would show up in droves to experience the trio's incredible live performances. Pretty soon, Alkaline Trio's
albums were scoring spots in the top 20 on Billboard, and in 2009 they decided to continue forging their own way through the
music world and formed their own label, Heart & Skull. They released their 2010 album, This Addiction, on Heart &
Skull, and the album immediately became their most successful album ever, and still remains their most successful album to
date. In 2011, to celebrate their 15 years of being one of the greatest bands in the world, Alkaline Trio embarked on a special
U.S. tour and also promoted their new album, Damnesia. For over fifteen years, Alkaline Trio has been a trailblazing force
in punk rock, and they have amassed fans all over the world with their countless hit punk rock anthems and phenomenal live
shows. Few bands have experienced such a consistently successful career as Alkaline Trio has, as they have been releasing
albums regularly during their entire career as a band.
Although there have been several lineup changes over the years,

and Derek Grant. This talented trio has generated massive buzz in the punk rock world for their dark and angst-filled tunes,
