Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, OH | $25 - $850 | Buy Sell |
New York Jets Playoff tickets are huge among Jets fans now that the team has made it to the playoffs this season. The Jets are a defensive-oriented team thanks to the approach of new head coach Rex Ryan. The team drafted quarterback Mark Sanchez, who seems to be a great fit in New York. We saw two rookie quarterbacks lead their teams to the playoffs in 2008 and we saw Sanchez do the same in 2009!
NFL tickets to see the Jets first became available in 1960, and the team was a charter member of the AFL under the name of "New York Titans," which was intended to be a bit of a swipe at the city's NFL team, the New York Giants. After Leon Hess bought the team in 1963, he renamed the team the Jets. Only a few years later, the Jets were victorious in perhaps the most significant game in the history of the NFL.
After qualifying for Super Bowl III and being labeled as decided underdogs to the powerful Baltimore Colts, QB Joe Namath "guaranteed" a victory, much to the delight of the nation. However, in stunning fashion, the Jets pulled off the monumental upset, and many feel that this game helped pave the way towards the ultimate merger between the AFL and the NFL.
