James C. Heath (aka Reverend Horton Heat, the band behind the three-piece band) was born in Corpus Christi, TX. He began playing eclectic music early on and eventually gave his first performance under the name Reverend Horton Heat at a club in Deep Ellum in Dallas. Bassist Jimbo Wallace and drummer Patrick “Taz” Bentley completed the lineup in 1989 and the rest is history.
