Isn't it about time you purchased your Rooney tickets for their upcoming shows? Well, you don't have much time before tickets to see this California band are all taken. Rooney will be rocking you indie-style with hits like "I'm Shakin'" "Blueside," "If It Were Up To Me," "Popstars" and "When Did Your Heart Go Missing." Don't miss out!
Rooney consists of Robert Carmine (lead singer), Louie Stephens (keyboards), Taylor Locke (guitar, vocals), Ned Brower (drums, vocals), and Matthew Winter (bass guitar). This band has been selling concert tickets since they formed in 1999, often performing with groups like Weezer and The Strokes. Rooney was actually first known as Ed Rooney, the name of the principal in the movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." Their self-titled debut album under Geffen Records was not a hit at first, but gained a lot of steam after the band started making guest appearances on shows like "The O.C."
Rooney developed a large following with the teen crowd and people who were into shows like "The O.C." and "All my Children." Of course, it was their ability to draw on the bands of the past, like The Beatles, The Cars, and Blur, which endeared them to the older crowd as well. Female music lovers will always have a special place in their hearts for the singer/actor frontman Robert Carmine (sometimes Schwartzman), who was an actor in "The Princess Diaries" and "The Virgin Suicides."
