America East Conference
NCAA basketball tickets were first sold to an AEC game when the 1979-80 basketball season began.
Originally the organization was known as the ECAC North, and then from 1979 to 1988 as the North Atlantic Conference. Not
all of the full-time members of the AEC have football programs, so for the most part these schools are crazy about basketball,
making it always a great time to join in the action. Recently, it has been the Albany Great Danes who have taken down a couple
of tournament titles, though Vermont and Stony Brook have both been major factors from one year to the next. Put it all together
and this is a conference that is never lacking in rim-rocking excitement that you know you'll want to be a part of once again
America East Conference Basketball Trivia

for most tournament titles among active AEC teams?

that still stands as the top team in the conference when it comes to the highly followed year-end tournament. Albany isn't
far behind, however, as they captured their third and fourth tournament titles in 2013 and 2014, respectively.
