        American Express Championship tickets are available, and this World Golf Championship (WGC) event is one of three truly unique events of this ilk on the international professional golf tour. The American Express Championship invites the top 50 golfers in the world rankings to compete in the event, and these golf tickets are a chance to see only the best golfers in the world compete for a sizable purse.

        The American Express Championship was first played in 1999, and although the location has varied over time, the event will be played in 2007 and beyond at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa in the United States. The American Express Championship is a stroke-play event, and the size of the playing field is generally half of that for a regularly scheduled PGA Tour event.
