Anne Murray was born in Nova Scotia and grew up listening to all the pop music that her parents listened to and the Top 40 played in Canada at the time. Music was one of Murray's hobbies but never something serious as she was going to school to become a physical education teacher. Murray decided to take it more seriously when she was offered a record deal and came out with "Snowbird" in 1970, which was a crossover song between country and pop. Throughout the '70s and '80s Murray was successful with her music that boarder lined country and pop. Murray is back on stage and have a chance to see her live with some tickets.
