Anything Goes Tickets
Come see Anything Goes; the 1930's musical based off the book by Guy Bolton and P.G. Woodhouse
this season at a venue near you. Made popular by the 1936 film starring Ethel Merman (known for Broadway standards such as
"I Got Rhythm", There's No Business Like Show Business", and "You're the Top") and Big Crosby (multimedia star from the Golden
Age of film and major influence for Perry Como, Frank Sinatra, and Dean Martin), Anything Goes is the love story of Billy
Crocker and Reno Sweeny who meet aboard the S.S. American. The classic tale of awkward love and affection was recently revived
in 2012 for modern audiences and has been touring nonstop since its debut at the Playhouse Square in Cleveland, Ohio. StubHub
has theater tickets available now for all the stops along the Anything Goes national tour.

Legendary lyricist and composer Cole Porter wrote the incredible music and lyrics
for Anything Goes in 1934, and his farcical tale of madcap antics aboard a cross-Atlantic ocean liner remains one of the finest
Broadway musicals to date. Romantic farce is the order of the day with Anything Goes, and fans throughout history and around
the world have fallen in love with this inimitable musical comedy.
Anything Goes is the
brainchild of writers Guy Bolton and P.G. Woodhouse who were hired by producer Vinton Freedley. Freedley came up with the
idea for a musical set on a boat while he was living on his boat trying his best to avoid U.S. creditors. Art seemed to imitate
life during the inception of the original production as various setbacks led to the final script change only a few weeks before
opening night when the passenger ship SS Morro Castle caught fire and caused the deaths of 138 passengers and crew. Freedley
felt that to continue with the original script, which closely resembled the disaster aboard the SS Morro Castle, would be
in "bad taste" and insisted that the script be changed. The title was in constant dispute until (as the story goes) one evening
at a late night production meeting one of the exhausted production team members asked "And just how in the world are we going
to end the first act?" To which one of the producers replied, "At this point, anything goes." Get your tickets or this cult
