Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is a city with a lot to offer. After all, it is a city with a rich history and it even is the site of the Liberty Bell. The City of Brotherly Love has another reason to boast, though, because it is also the location of the famed Arden Theatre. The Arden Theatre is certainly a must-see for anyone visiting or living in Philadelphia.
The history of the Arden Theatre dates back to 1988, when the Arden Theatre Company was founded by Terrence J. Nolen, Amy Murphy and Aaron Posner. The Arden Theatre Company started performing at various theaters around town before purchasing a building in the city's Old City neighborhood in 1995. That site eventually became the Arden Theatre.
One of the reasons that the Arden Theatre has such an amazing reputation is because of the shows that are staged here. Throughout the theater's history, it has staged everything from theatrical dramas to music and poetry. Attending a show at the Arden Theatre means seeing such top notch shows as Michael Hollinger's Ghost Writer.
