Arizona Cardinals Schedule

With the Cardinals right in the mix coming down the home stretch of the season, it doesn't get any better than heading out to see the Cardinals as they continue to make waves in the NFC West, the division that is routinely considered one of the very best in the league. This is a great group of teams that creates significant challenges on a regular basis, which is part of the fun of playing the best of the best on a yearly basis in the NFL. Though everyone lamented another tough injury to starting quarterback Carson Palmer, the Cardinals have rallied thanks to their deep and explosive overall team, which has given them a reputation as arguably the best all-around team in the league.

Coming down the home stretch of the season, the Cardinals will also be looking to keep the wins coming as they take aim at getting right back into the postseason. Against Seattle during their home finale (at least during the regular season), you can definitely count on University of Phoenix Stadium to be absolutely rocking as two of the best teams in the conference square off with the playoffs on the line. The Cards will be looking to put together a solid rushing attack throughout the final portion of the schedule as they jostle for position in the playoffs, but they'll also rely on their ability to shut down offenses and extend defenses with throws down the field.

Of course, the action definitely doesn't stop just because the Cardinals on the road, as away games will be every bit as important for the Cardinals in the December stint of the schedule. Against teams like St. Louis and San Francisco, the divisional matchups will continue to create all kinds of fanfare for the Cardinals as they look to keep the pressure on the rest of the NFC West, and you can count on there being all kinds of Arizona fans no matter where the Cardinals hit the gridiron this season. Put it all together and the Cardinals have all kinds of upside as they continue to play inspired football, giving fans all kinds of reason to show up and cheer them on to victory.

Arizona Cardinals Team Info

Offenses around the league have taken notice of the Cardinals' D, as they have established themselves as one of the toughest units in the entire league and a team that clearly has its best years ahead of them. The defense is filled with electrifying athletes, with corner/punt returner Patrick Peterson leading the way and a d-line and linebacking corps that is known to give offensive coordinators nightmares. Offensively, Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd make for a great receiving tandem and Andre Ellington has also proven to be capable of giving the Cards a very helpful rushing attack. Add it all up and the Cardinals simply continue to win even facing significant adversity, helping to create some serious buzz around Phoenix along the way.

The NFL Experience

The NFL has plenty of great games on the schedule each and every season, from plenty of top-tier regular season matchups and playoff games to the Pro Bowl and, of course, the Super Bowl. These are some of the best athletes in the entire world, though that's something that you need to see for yourself to truly appreciate. This is a sport that you really can't appreciate from home no matter how advanced our technology gets, as it's in the stands with the rest of the committed fans that the whole experience really springs to a completely different level. Once the game is on the line and two talented teams are digging in looking for just one big play to help seal the deal, it won't be hard to see that it just doesn't get any better than this.

Arizona Cardinals History

The Cardinals are one of only two charter members of the NFL to remain in the league today, as they officially entered the NFL in 1920. The team currently plays in Glendale, AZ, but had previously played in Chicago and St. Louis before moving out west. During the 2008 season the Cardinals made it all the way to the Super Bowl thanks to a resurgent season from quarterback Kurt Warner, but ultimately fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers in one of the most exciting Super Bowls in history. These days, the Cardinals are in another exciting era thanks to one of the most dominant defenses in the league and an offense built around savvy vets and explosive playmakers. Add it all up and there has never been a better time to be a part of the Cardinals franchise, as this is a team that has fans daydreaming about seeing their team make a move all the way to the Super Bowl.

Arizona Cardinals Trivia

Who holds the franchise record for the most rushing yards in a season?

The answer is Ottis Anderson, who rushed for 1,605 yards during his stellar 1979 season with the Cardinals (then in St. Louis). Anderson would go on to make it to two different Pro Bowls and would have a resurgence later with the New York Giants, where he was an instrumental part of the Giants winning two different Super Bowls.
