Arrowhead Stadium History
First opened back in the early 1970s, Arrowhead Stadium is a staple of the local sports
scene around Kansas City, Missouri for a reason, and it definitely isn't because it's liking in excitement from game to game
and season to season. Known as one of the best home fields in all of the NFL, Arrowhead Stadium brings the NFL experience
to a completely different level, one that you definitely can't come close to duplicating anywhere but the stands. Year in
and year out, Arrowhead is noted as being one of the loudest stadiums in the NFL, giving the Chiefs the perfect backdrop for
all of the biggest home games of the season as they look to continue being major factors in the AFC West.
But even though
the NFL is king at Arrowhead, college football has also had quite a few big games as well. From the Border Showdown to the
Big 12 Championship Game and more, Arrowhead Stadium has had all types of different big-time college football games go down
as well, making it much more than just a stadium for the pros. Arrowhead even held Kansas City Wizards MLS Soccer as well,
though the main staple remains Kansas City Chiefs football from one season to the next. Once you're there in the middle of
a close game that could go either way, with the buzz of the crowd steadily rising, you'll see for yourself why Arrowhead has
the reputation it has.
