The history of As Tall as Lions traces back to before they originally formed in 2002, when some of the members of the band were in a group called Sundaze. After officially taking on their current moniker, they released the Blood and Aphorisms EP, which got them noticed by Triple Crown records, leading to a recording deal and their debut.
The band released a self-titled album in 2006 that further endeared themselves to the indie rock world, earning positive reviews in the blogosphere and rock mags.
