Atlanta Braves Spring Training tickets - Braves Spring Training Schedule

Atlanta Braves Spring Training Schedule

The 2013 National League East Champions are back on the field at Champion Stadium and Braves fans are excited to see what the new season has in store. There are a few names missing from last year's roster, most notably All Star Catcher Brian McCann, who left in the offseason to join the New York Yankees. Spring Training is the ultimate vacation, a chance to soak of the sunshine during this frigid winter and see your favorite baseball team prepare for the road to winning a championship. But as Spring Training begins to wind down, there is plenty of work still to be done for the Braves, with up and coming prospects looking for an edge in the hopes of grabbing a coveted roster spot before Opening Day.

There are still many exciting Braves Spring Training games left on the schedule and fans can experience all of the perks of the preseason like seeing the biggest stars in the intimate confines of Champion Stadium, a first look at the up and coming players in the Braves organization and a chance to get up close and personal with all of their favorite players. There is no better time to get close to all of the Braves than Spring Training in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. You won't want to miss it when the New York Yankees and former Brave Brian McCann visit Champion Stadium to take on the Braves. Fans across the country will also want to get a last look at future Hall of Famer Derek Jeter, who is set to retire at the end of the season. Fans will be thrilled to see the legend in the quaint confines of Champion Stadium.

Another can't miss game still left on the Spring Training schedule is the clash between the Braves and the World Champion Boston Red Sox, who travel to Lake Buena Vista on March 22. Stars like David Ortiz, Dustin Pedroia and Jon Lester are always a draw and the Braves will be looking to bring down the World Champs. There is still a lot of fun to be had and baseball to be played in Florida this spring, so trade in your winter gear and get to the Sunshine State where baseball makes the perfect vacation.

Atlanta Braves Spring Training Team

The Atlanta Braves have been one of the most dominant teams of the last two decades, winning an amazing 10 National League East Titles in a row from 1995-2005. They were led by a trio of aces, John Smoltz, Tom Glavine, and Greg Maddux, who won six Cy Young Awards between them in the 1990's. While being led by legendary manager Bobby Cox from 1978-1981 and from 1986-2010, the Braves dominated the National League. In the post-Cox era, the Braves have picked right where they left off, winning yet another National League East title in 2013 under skipper Fredi Gonzalez. They lost a few key players over the offseason, including longtime catcher Brian McCann to the Yankees, but locked up many key positions as well as made a splash by signing veteran starting pitcher Ervin Santana to a one year deal. The Braves are continuing to do what has made them so successful all these years, building depth through their farm system and looking for deals in the free agent market. Head down Lake Buena Vista and check out the Atlanta Braves in Spring Training to get a first look at the 2014 squad who will be looking to win the National League East once again on their way to a World Series Title.
