Atlanta Falcons Schedule

The Atlanta Falcons are looking to soar to the top of the standings this season by taking down some of the top teams in the National Football League. The Falcons are certainly loaded with talent, especially on the offensive side of the ball, and they could be in for a bounce-back season in 2014. Atlanta struggled in 2013, mostly thanks to some major injuries to key cogs, and the Falcons are looking to rebound this time around. The Atlanta Falcons are known for putting on shows for their dedicated fan base, with a steady stream of top-tier matchups on their schedule each and every season also helping pack the stadium on a regular basis. Everyone knows that NFC South rivalries with teams like New Orleans, Tampa Bay and Carolina are absolute must-sees, though that's not something that you're going to figure out sitting at home wondering what the atmosphere at the big game is like.

The Falcons have a big game coming their way on September 7th to kick off their 2014 campaign when the New Orleans Saints come to town. The Saints are definitely a contender for the NFC South title, as they've got one of the best offenses in the NFL. Led by quarterback Drew Brees, the New Orleans offense runs like a well oiled machine, and it's very difficult to stop this unit. The Falcons will have to rely on their secondary to blanket the New Orleans receivers, especially tight end Jimmy Graham. It's not going to be easy, but earning a victory against the Saints would be a great way to begin the year.

Atlanta has another big game on their hands on October 12th when they host the Chicago Bears. The Bears are another squad with a high-octane offense, one that features a pair of big wide receivers in Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery. Both of these players made defenses pay in a big way in 2013, so the Falcons will have to key in on both of them.

Atlanta Falcons Team Info

The Atlanta Falcons are never exactly lacking in explosive playmakers, making it always a good idea to get out and see for yourself how quickly they can change the dynamic of a big game. Of course, you need a signal caller to have much of a shot at a title in the NFL, and the Falcons are glad to have one of the best in Matt Ryan, a player who seems to be getting better and better from season to season. 2013 was a challenging year, of course, but when you have a franchise quarterback and playmakers for him to get the ball to, you'll see that the Falcons are a team that can scare just about anybody whenever they take to the gridiron. The Falcons have both of their star receivers, Julio Jones and Roddy White, back and fully healthy in 2014, and this offense is ready to take flight once again. The Falcons have high hopes for this season, and with good reason. You never know what to expect in the NFC South, and the Falcons could soar right back to the top of the division if things go well for them in 2014.

Fan Experience

NFL football has plenty of great games on the schedule each and every season, from plenty of top-tier preseason matchups and regular season battles to games to playoff clashes that you'll have to see first-hand to believe. These are some of the best athletes in the entire world, though that's something that you need to see for yourself to truly appreciate. When your favorite team is digging in and the buzz of the crowd is steadily rising with fans anticipating an epic finale, you'll understand that there is absolutely nothing quite like football when it's played at this level.

Atlanta Falcons History

The Atlanta Falcons began their journey in the National Football League in June of 1965, and since then have given their fans some major thrills over the years. With players like Deion Sanders, Gerald Riggs, Jessie Tuggle and many more great players, the Falcons have had some great moments over the years, helping to solidify themselves as major players on the local sports scene in Atlanta from one generation to the next. With a promising team loaded with some of the stars of both today and tomorrow, Falcons' fans are daydreaming about their team making a title run much sooner rather than later.

Atlanta Falcons Trivia

Did you know that Jamal Anderson had the 16th most prolific rushing season in NFL history back in 1998?

Back when Anderson was doing the Dirty Bird all the time in the end zone, he was doing much more than just celebrating, as he was dicing defenses left and right on his way to an NFC-best 1,846 rushing yards in 1998 to help lead the Falcons all the way to the Super Bowl. Though the Falcons ultimately came up just shy of a title, fans still recall the days of Jamal Anderson with smiles on their faces, as he was at one time one of the most explosive backs in the league and helped give the franchise one of their brightest points.

Atlanta Falcons Fans

Falcons' fans definitely know a thing or two about showing their support for the hometown team, though that's something that you have to see for yourself to truly appreciate. We all know that you can get an idea of what the game is like from home, sort of, but it's a completely different experience to actually feel the pulse of the crowd as the Falcons dig in looking to make one more big play to seal the deal. This is a team that looks like they're on the rise – even after a difficult 2013 season – and fans are buzzing about watching their team get back into the playoff mix this year. Come out and join in the electrifying excitement and you'll get a first-hand example of why the NFL is still the king of the castle when it comes to major sports in the U.S.
