Auburn Arena History
Auburn Arena is a state of the art college basketball venue located on the campus of Auburn
University that first opened just before the start of the 2010-2011 college basketball season. Designed with the fan in mind,
Auburn Arena offers all of the amenities hoops fanatics have come to expect from the best college basketball venues in the
country combined with passionate Tigers fans who come out to cheer on the team as they take on the top teams in the SEC as
well as tough non-conference foes coming to Auburn Arena looking to score a big win. In recent years Auburn Arena has justly
earned the reputation as one of the best venues in all of NCAA basketball.
Auburn Arena Events
Arena is primarily known as the home of both the men's and women's Auburn Tigers basketball teams and as such offers up numerous
top tier college basketball games featuring elite student athletes putting it all on the line for school pride and a shot
at making it to the NCAA Tournament come March. Even after the college basketball season is over Auburn Arena is still alive
with Tiger pride as it is home to the women's gymnastics team, annually one of the best in the NCAA. Head out to a Tigers
women's gymnastics competition to see unbelievable feats of athleticism and to cheer on the team.
Alabama is certainly best known as the college town that is the home of Auburn University but it is also the largest city
in eastern Alabama and offers residents and visitors plenty to do. Aside from heading out to an athletic competition featuring
the best student athletes in the country representing the Tigers, there are plenty of other ways to spend the days and nights
in Auburn. You can get outside and explore the Appalachian foothills in parks like Chewacla State Park, check out some world
class art exhibitions at Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art, or enjoy some big band jazz music courtesy of the Auburn Knights
Auburn Arena Seating Layout
Auburn Arena holds more than 9,000 Tigers fans for basketball games
and provides an electrifying experience for fans of all ages who come to cheer on the home team. The arena opened in 2010
and offers state of the art lighting and sound along with unobstructed views from every seat in the house. In addition to
the main basketball court there are also two practice courts, a weight room, the Lovelace Athletic Museum, coaches' offices,
and twelve suites. Whether you are looking to attend a college basketball game or a gymnastics competition, there is not better
place to go than Auburn Arena.
Auburn Arena was exciting right from the start as the men's basketball
team opened in the arena with a game against UNC Asheville that went to overtime but unfortunately saw the Tigers fall 70-69.
The Tigers were able to get their first home win in Auburn Arena against Middle Tennessee in another thriller which saw the
Tigers on the winning end of a tight 68-66 contest.
