Auburn - Mississippi St.

Both Auburn and Mississippi State are founding members of the SEC and have been competing against one another in the conference since 1932. Whatever the sport, there is no love lost when the Tigers and the Bulldogs face off against one another and their long history of competition makes for an intense atmosphere both on the field and in the stands. Not only are both team SEC rivals but they both compete in the Western Division of the conference, making each match up even more meaningful in the conference standings. Tigers fans and Bulldogs fans are widely known as some of the most fervent and loyal fans in all of college athletics and being in the stands surrounded by fans of either school is an experience you will never forget.

Auburn - Mississippi State Schedule

The Auburn Tigers and the Mississippi State Bulldogs constantly find themselves competing against one another and vying for a top spot in the SEC standings. The two universities are set to collide in May on the baseball diamond in a series that will have lasting effects on the SEC standings and could have a huge impact on positioning in the postseason tournament. The two schools will square off for a three game series at Plainsman Park in Auburn, Alabama on May 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. They are only separated by a few games in the conference standings and this could offer the Tigers a chance to close the gap or the Bulldogs a chance to get a little separation. Plainsman Park is well known in the college baseball world as one of the finest parks in the sport and no college baseball fan will want to miss out on the chance to see theses two college baseball powerhouses battle it out at the famous venue.

Of course, the SEC is known as a college football powerhouse and both Auburn and Mississippi State have formidable programs. This year the Tigers will be looking to build on a remarkable 2013-2014 season that saw them play in the National Championship Game, but eventually fall to Florida State in a thriller. While the loss still stings, Auburn will use that as motivation all season in hopes of returning to the championship and this time bringing home the trophy. Mississippi State will be looking to rebound from a tough 2013-2014 season that had them finish with a 7-6 overall record. With some highly rates recruits and key players returning there is no reason not to believe that the Bulldogs will be competing for a top spot in the Western Division of the SEC. The two squads will meet each other on the gridiron on October 11th at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, Mississippi in a game that could well decide who will be competing for the SEC Championship. This is a game not to be missed and will surely be one of the most exciting games of the entire college football season so start making plans to be at Davis Wade Stadium and get your tickets from StubHub as soon as possible.
