Born in South Haven, Michigan in 1963, she moved along with her family to Evanston, Illinois and has since thrived in
the Chicago area. She first started making prints in the late '70s after training at the School of the Art Institute of
Chicago, following her MFA at Northwestern University. In 1997 she first started developing ideas for the book "The
Time Traveler's Wife," which was published in 2003 and eventually made into a film. Speaking

but also a celebrated artist, having studied visual arts and publishing her first handmade books in editions of ten
