Baltimore Ravens Road Games

Baltimore Ravens Road Games tickets

Baltimore Ravens Road Schedule in 2014

The Baltimore Ravens are ready to fly all over the country this season seeking victories against some of the top teams in the National Football League. Some people may call it a Super Bowl hangover, but it may really just come down to a lot of offseason personnel turnover and a bull's eye on their backs, but the Ravens did not quite resemble the team that won the Super Bowl in 2012 last season. Quarterback Joe Flacco was not on his game every week, and the team has really struggled to move the ball on the ground for stretches of the 2013 campaign. Despite a lot of new players on the defensive side of the ball, the Baltimore defense did play quite well and kept the Ravens in some games they might have otherwise let slip away. The Ravens are looking to rebound in 2014 and make it to the postseason.

The Ravens will travel to Cincinnati this season to take on the Bengals, the team that was able to capture the AFC North title in 2013. The Bengals and Ravens have a fierce rivalry, one that always bring out the best in both teams. The Bengals have a dynamic offense that features one of the top receivers in the game in AJ Green. Green is nearly impossible to cover, and the Ravens will surely dedicate a lot of attention to the former Georgia star. The Ravens will also look to contain speedy running back Gio Bernard, who played very well as a rookie last season.

Fans always get geared up for when the Ravens head to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers. The Ravens-Steelers rivalry is one of the best in the National Football League, and there is certainly no love lost between these two clubs. The Steelers notched as many wins as the Ravens last season, eight, so these two clubs could be pretty evenly matched in 2014. The Ravens will look to pound the ball on the ground in order to set up big plays down the field for the strong-armed Flacco. This will be one of the most anticipated games on the road schedule for the Ravens this season.

Baltimore Ravens Team Info

The Baltimore Ravens are not experiencing the same kind of success in 2013 that they did last season, but don't write off the reigning Super Bowl champs just yet. Ray Rice has struggled to find running room on the ground, but quarterback Joe Flacco seems to be steadying himself as the season wears on. Wide receiver Torrey Smith is emerging as a number one target in this offense, and Flacco loves to throw the deep ball his way. The Baltimore defense has been very solid, and the team is hoping that an improvement on offense can help this group finish strong in 2013. With all the veterans on this roster, you know the Ravens won't give up. There should be some great contests to finish out the regular season in Baltimore, and potentially some playoff games to come following that.

Fan Experience

The Baltimore Ravens have some of the best players in the National Football League, and fans flock to stadiums across the nation each year to see these players take the field as the pride of Baltimore football fans. If you've never been to a game, then you've been left out of some of the most fun a sports fan can have. The atmosphere at a big NFL game is simply electric, as everyone in the place is at the edge of their seats play after play. These players are incredible in what they can do physically, and some of the players' mental acumen comes through in their performance on the field as well. Don't miss out on the chance to see this team take to the field and match up with some quality opponents. The AFC is full of good teams that will be hosting the Ravens and trying to take them down.

Baltimore Ravens Trivia

What served as inspiration for the name Baltimore Ravens?

The answer is the famous poem "The Raven," written by Edgar Allen Poe.

Baltimore Ravens History

The Baltimore Ravens are actually an incarnation of the original Cleveland Browns franchise, as the team moved from Cleveland in 1999 and became the Baltimore Ravens. Though the Browns were recreated in Cleveland shortly thereafter, the Ravens technically retain all of the Browns history prior to 1999. The team quickly gained popularity upon moving to Baltimore, winning the Super Bowl after the 2000 season thanks to one of the best defenses in the league, a unit that features such studs as Ray Lewis and Chris McAllister. The Ravens won the Super Bowl again following the 2012 campaign after an incredible and dramatic playoff run. In the big game the Ravens defeated the San Francisco 49ers, whose coach was Jim Harbaugh, brother of Ravens head coach John Harbaugh.
