About Band of Horses

Band of Horses was formed in 2004, and they soon caught the attention of Sub Pop records after performing in Seattle. By 2005, they had released their first EP, "Tour EP," which was a huge success. In 2006, the band was ready to release their full-length debut album, "Everything All the Time." The album was met with praise, with Pitchfork placing it on their list of the "Top 200 Albums of the 2000s." "Everything All the Time" reached the number 25 position on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart, number 31 on the Independent Albums chart, and it also charted in the UK, Norway, and Sweden. Shortly after the release, Band of Horses scored an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman, where they performed their single, "The Funeral." The single has since been used in a number of advertisements and television shows.

Following the success of "Everything All the Time," Band of Horses started working on their second studio album, "Cease to Begin," which was released in 2007. The album entered the Billboard 200 chart at the number 35 position, and ended up landing a number 47 spot on the list of the "Top 50 Albums of 2007" by Rolling Stone magazine.

Band of Horses' third studio album, "Infinite Arms," followed in 2010. The album was met with critical acclaim and praise, and it reached number 7 on the Billboard 200 chart. "Infinite Arms" ended up being nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of Best Alternative Album, and the album included popular tracks like "Factory," "Compliments," "Laredo," and "Dilly." Band of Horses later released their fourth studio album, "Mirage Rock," in 2012, which climbed to the number 13 position on the Billboard 200 chart, and was also well received by fans and critics.


Band of Horses' Breakthrough Album

Band of Horses were an immediate success upon release of their debut album, "Everything All the Time." The album spawned the hit single, "The Funeral," which has since been featured on episodes of Gossip Girl, 90210, The Best Years, FlashForward, Criminal Minds, Kyle XY, Blue Mountain State, One Tree Hill, and How I Met Your Mother. It was also included in soundtracks for films like Boot Camp, Fully Flared, the Stepfather, Battleship, Love and Honor, and In the Name of. After the whirlwind success of their debut album, Band of Horses released "Cease to Begin," which was also a success. The album's song, "Is There a Ghost," was included on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "100 Best Songs of 2007." With Band of Horses' third studio album, "Infinite Arms," they had scored their first Grammy Award nomination for Best Alternative Album.
