Band of Horses frontman, Ben Bridwell, knew music was his destiny from the very beginning.
At the age of 19, he moved to Seattle to begin his career. He started the band Carissa's Weird and even secured a record deal,
all before he turned 20.
About the Artist
When the Seattle rock band Carissa's Weird broke up in 2003,
lead singer Ben Bridwell moved on to start Band of Horses with a fellow former Carissa's Weird bandmates, bassist Chris Early
and drummer Tim Meinig. Soon they were joined on their debut album, Everything All the Time, by Mat Brooke. The album was
a critical success and opened the door for the band to go on a European tour. Upon return to the studio, everyone except Bridwell
had left the band, so he moved back to his native South Carolina and recruited new members Ryan Monroe, Tyler Ramsey, Bill
Reynolds and Creighton Barrett to join full-time. They soon released their widely successful second album, Cease to Begin.
Their third album, Infinite Arms was even bigger, garnering them a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Album. Having made
a name for themselves, Band of Horses began touring the country to large crowds and finding themselves in the lineup of some
of the biggest festivals like the SXSW and Rock en Seine.
They performed several of their hit singles like "Compliments,"
"Factory" and "NW Apt" from Infinite Arms during an appearance on Later…with Jools Holland. This performance gave them
the exposure in the UK they had been looking for, and for the first time they entered the UK charts. The album hit No. 21
on the UK chart and No. 7 on the Billboard 200. The success of this album afforded them the opportunity to tour Europe, North
America, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. They also got the chance to open for big-name bands like Pearl Jam and Snow Patrol.
Their music was also featured as part of the Twilight Saga film Eclipse soundtrack.
Their subsequent albums, Mirage
Rock in 2012 and Acoustic at the Ryman in 2014, have both received favorable reviews and fans can't seem to get enough. The
band is currently on tour, performing music from their latest album and some of their classic hit songs. With a more acoustic
set, it's sure to be a very different concert experience than the last time you saw this group live. Don't miss out! Buy your
