By the 1990s, Meadowbrook Farm had become a hot spot in New Hampshire for summer concerts. It had a temporary stage, 3,500 portable seats and a lawn that held more than 2,000 people. But the need for more room soon became obvious, and in 2002 the venue got a major facelift, including the addition of more than 3,000 reserved seats – more than 500 reserved lawn seats and 2,850 general admission lawn seats. Then, in 2005, the venue added a second stage and a tented area where local bands played for concert-goers before the actual event took place.
