House musicians Basement Jaxx recorded their internationally flavored tunes in South London and eventually took "Remedy,"
the full length debut, and "Rooty," the sophomore effort, to the States when they signed to the indie label XL
Recordings. They have continued to steadily release albums into the most recent decade, making Basement
Jaxx tickets huge!
House duo Basement Jaxx (Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Buxton) created the house trance outfit following their love of Latin
funk of War and George Duke, and Chicago house tunes. The British tunes, like 1995's "Samba Magic," were hits
all over the world as they remained a top production pair, working on remixes for the Pet Shop Boys, among others. They
signed to XL Recordings for the 1999 debut.
