Marlon Flohr and Ralph van Hilst had not predicted what was coming for the dynamic duo when they first joined forces in the beginning of 2007. Flohr already spent time DJ-ing and van Hilst experimented with making various kinds of dance music. Flohr was primarily focused on house music at the time and then the idea came to drive van Hilst's productions in that direction so Flohr could play the tracks in his sets. Beat Cut was the first track that the two could agree on. It got picked up by Fedde le Grand and served as the springboard for their career. A solid stream of remixes and tracks followed, which were supported by all the popular jocks and landed in top spots on the international dance charts. Their remix Dada Life scored No. 1 on hypem.com (the global hype machine). Their studio success translated into the clubs as well, resulting in a schedule of 250 gigs a year!
Bass Jackers experienced a tremendous breakthrough in 2011 when their dance floor bomb, Mush Mush, got picked up by Tiesto. Tiesto also released it on Musical Freedom. It ruled the Beatport Top 10 for more than two months and evolved to be one of the biggest club/festival tracks of that year. It serves as the standby track that always dominates the dance floor. Swedish House Mafia, Afrojack, Sander van Doorn, Martin Solveig, Calvin Harris, Benny Benassi, Judge Jules and Tiesto all helped to foster the boost for Bass Jackers' career. From remixing for A-list artists like Moby and Rihanna to playing in Privilege Ibiza with Tiesto to trotting around the globe to destroy dance floors is only the start for the Bass Jackers.
