        Belanova was started in Guadalajara, Jalisco in 2000. The band grew up around singer/songwriter Denisse Guerrero, bassist Ricardo Arreola, and programmer/keyboardist Edgar Huerta. The group’s biggest success came with their second album “Dulce Beat,” in 2005. The group went on to win a Latin Grammy Nomination for Pop Album by Duo or Group, but lost to another group.
