About 2010 Belmont Stakes Tickets

2010 Belmont Stakes Tickets - Tickets to See History

2010 Belmont Stakes tickets are now available. The Belmont Stakes is the third leg of the Horse Racing Triple Crown. The most physically demanding of the three races, the Belmont is one and a half miles long. As the final race in the Triple Crown series, The Belmont Stakes is where a spectator has the chance to see a horse make history by winning the Triple Crown, a feat that has not been achieved since Affirmed did it in 1978.

2010 Belmont Stakes Tickets - Event History

The Belmont Stakes is named after August Belmont, the first president of the Jockey Club. The inaugural race was run in 1867 and was won by Fenian, a horse owned by August Belmont. The Belmont Stakes is commonly known as the "Run for the Carnations" because of the adornment of flowers draped upon the winner. The 2008 Belmont Stakes was won by Da'Tara, who squashed Big Brown's hopes of winning the Triple Crown.

2010 Belmont Stakes Tickets - The Pinnacle of Horse Racing

All Triple Crown tickets are sought after by racing fans, but the Belmont stakes are especially prized horse racing tickets. The opportunity to see a horse make history by winning the Triple Crown is truly an exhilarating experience. No horse has won the Triple Crown in 31 years, but when the next one does it will be an event to remember. In 1973 Secretariat, one of the greatest racehorses to ever live, won the Belmont by a whopping 31 lengths.
