In a short time, musician Ben Rector has already seen his share of success. His album, Into The Morning, which was released
in 2010, peaked at No. 5 on the iTunes pop chart; No. 10 on the iTunes overall chart; and No. 11 on Billboard Heatseekers.
Additionally, his 2011 album, Something Like This, landed at No. 1 on iTunes Singer Songwriter Chart and No. 4 on iTunes albums
overall.
Ben Rector took up the piano as a child but did not play music seriously until he picked up the guitar in high school.
He began penning songs in his sophomore year and founded a band called, Euromart, the following year. Euromart produced an
EP and played gigs at clubs in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but disbanded when the group's members left for college. Following high school
graduation, Rector himself went off to college at the University of Arkansas where he majored in marketing. During his first
year, he recorded a self-titled EP the included the song Conversation, which earned the grand prize in the pop category of
the John Lennon Songwriting Contest in 2006. He is the youngest person to ever claim the award for the pop music category.
The EP's popularity grew in surrounding regions, and by his second year of college, Rector became a road warrior on weekends
and during school year breaks, touring whenever he could spare the time. His debut first full-length record, Twenty Tomorrow,
was recorded in 2008, followed by Songs That Duke Wrote in 2009, Jingles in Bells, Into The Morning and Something Like This.
Ben Rector played almost 200 shows during his college career at the University of Arkansas. He additionally co-headlined
the Three Amigos tour covering the eastern half of the U.S. with Steve Moakler and Andrew Ripp. And in the spring of 2010,
he toured with Five for Fighting and Dave Barnes. Following the release of Something Like This, Rector headlined the Good
Time Tour, which included 25 cities with Graham Colton and Andrew Belle as support. This year, Rector's tireless work ethic
is evidenced in another ambitious schedule, taking him to stops all over the U.S. To see if Ben Rector is headed to your hometown,
