Big East Basketball Tournament tickets are available now for sale or purchase. The Big East is stacked again with top-shelf college hoops teams, and the only way you're getting into Madison Square Garden for the Big East Tournament is with a ticket. These things won't last long, as plenty of teams have a legitimate shot of taking the title and the automatic bid to March Madness.
Georgetown won the first Big East Conference Tournament in 1980, and later went on to win five more in seven years. No team has clearly dominated the Big East in the 1990s and 2000s, with a handful of teams winning the postseason tournament. NCAA basketball tickets to see the conference championship game have only been sold to one venue, the famous Madison Square Garden.
Although for some Big East teams the Conference Tournament this year will be merely a distraction from their ultimate goal of doing well in the NCAA Tournament, the Big East will have plenty of "bubble" teams that hope to lock up an automatic bid to the Dance by winning this playoff.
