Bill Medley grew up in a musical home with a father who played the saxophone and a mother who sang and played the piano.
As a young boy Medley sang in his church choir and glee club in high school. In the '60s he met Bobby Hatfield and came
together as the Righteous Brothers. Together, Medley and Hatfield created hits like "You've Lost that Lovin' Feeling"
and "Unchained Melody." In 1968, the Righteous Brothers decided to go their separate ways and Medley pursued a
solo career. In the '80s he got together with Jennifer Warnes and created the hit "(I've Had) The Time of My Life"
featured in the movie Dirty Dancing.
Bill Medley is probably best known for his singles “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling,” and “Unchained
Melody,” hits that he recorded with his Righteous Brothers partner Bobby Hatfield. After he left the duo he recorded
his solo album Soft and Soulful, Nobody Knows, and A Song for You with hits like “Brown-Eyed Woman” and others.
