About Black Label Society
metal band Black Label Society was formed in Los Angeles, California by Zakk Wylde. Zakk Wylde got his start in music when
he formed a solo band called Pride & Glory; however, the group disbanded in 1994 after they released one album. In 1998,
Zakk Wylde and drummer Phil Ondich recorded Black Label Society's debut album, "Sonic Brew," which included the singles "No
More Tears," "Born To Lose," and "Bored To Tears." Rhythm guitarist Nick Catanese would later join the band as the second
guitarist, and bassist John DeServio teamed up with them during their tour in support of the album. The band then returned
to the studio and began their second album. "Stronger Than Death" was released in 2000, with bassist John DeServio being swapped
for Steve Gibb and Craig Nunenmacher replacing Phil Ondich. The album included tracks like "Counterfeit Gold," "All for You,"
and "Phoney Smiles & Fake Hellos." The band later released their live album, "Alcohol Fueled Brewtality Live +5," which
was met with praise by fans.
By 2005, Black Label Society had released one of their most commercially successful albums,
"Mafia," which went on to sell over 250,000 copies in the United States. "Mafia" contained popular songs like "In This River,"
"Suicide Messiah," and "Fire It Up." Their 2010 album "Order of the Black" also enjoyed success, entering the Billboard 200
