Black Rebel Motorcycle Club was formed in San Francisco, California in 1998 by core members
Peter Hayes (guitar and vocals), Robert Levon Been (bass guitar and vocals), and Nick Jago (drums), who was a recent transplant
to the Bay Area from Devon, England. Originally named The Elements, the trio quickly gained attention in the San Francisco
music scene with their heady blend of psychedelic classic rock and noise pop, derived from the influences from Peter Hayes'
tenure with the volatile band The Brian Jonestown Massacre as well as inspiration derived from their peers Sonic Youth, The
Jesus and Mary Chain, and Dinosaur Jr.

B.R.M.C., Black Rebel
Motorcycle Club's debut album, was released in 2001 in instant critical acclaim, spawning 5 singles, most notably "Whatever
Happened to My Rock and Roll," and laid the groundwork for the release of their followup album, Take Them On, On Your Own.
During this era, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club was a fixture on the festival scene and toured across the United States and the
UK, where their Anglo-centric sound resonated with fans across the nation. Their popularity rose to such heights that, at
a 2003 performance at the historic Leeds Town Hall was cancelled mid-way through their set for fears that the raucous crowd
would cause the 150-year old floor to collapse.

In 2004, Nick Jago
quit the band, citing an inability to focus on their efforts. This departure paved the way for a new era for Black Rebel Motorcycle
club as they released their third album, Howl, which showcased a softer, more blues-influenced sound behind the wall of noise
they were previously known for. Once their next album, Beat The Devil's Tattoo, dropped in 2010, they boys were back and louder
than ever and built up public anticipation for their 2013 release, Specter at the Feast, which immediately caught the attention
of their devoted fans around the world and sparked a new touring era for Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
