Blackstreet hit the big time
in the mid 90s with a string of top 40 hits and some awesome soul groove that fans couldn't get enough of. Notorious for their
signature "lean" dance move while performing, this is a great show to watch on stage. The group released their first single
in 1993 as part of the soundtrack to Chris Rock's film CB4. The single gave the newly-formed band the exposure they needed,
and they were soon releasing their first album. Their self-titled debut album spawned several hit songs that became icons
of the era. Songs like "Booti Call," "Before I Let You Go," and "Joy" were all mega hits and their follow up album, Another
Level, spawned a No. 1 single entitled "No Diggity." The band saw enormous success throughout the 90s and became a favorite
of the decade. After finding success in solo careers as well, the band reunited in 2013 to inspire a whole new generation
with their upbeat music. Now, they are back on tour and ready to show the world that they still have what it takes to pack
Blackstreet is currently on tour and will be making stops in cities all over the country, including the Verizon
Theatre in Grand Prairie, TX, Club Nokia in Los Angeles and the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans. Don't miss your chance
to see this one-of-a-kind group create musical magic once more.
The band was originally called
Stonestreet after vocalist Joseph Stonestreet. But when band founder Teddy Riley met with the band, Riley's younger brother
suggested using the "street" portion of Stonestreet's name along with band member Chauncey Hannibal's nickname "Black." The
new name, Blackstreet, was not only an amalgamation of the two band members, but it was also a nod to the black tar-laden
streets in the "hood." Fans responded to the name and they became one of the biggest bands of the 90s.
Blackstreet was founded by record producer Teddy Riley and musician Thomas Taliaferro, who had previously
worked with Bobby Brown. The two worked together to create a new group that would feature Riley and be a voice for the new
generation of R&B musicians and fans. Taliaferro had two vocalists under contract and suggested them to be vocalists for
this new band. Chauncey Hannibal and Levon Little came on board, along with Joseph Stonestreet, and Blackstreet was born.
released their first single as a part of the CB4 soundtrack. Their single "Baby Be Mine" earned the attention of fans and
critics alike. They released their self-titled debut album shortly after, which became a platinum-selling success. The album
featured several hit singles including "Booti Call," "Before I Let You Go," and "Joy." They followed up the monumental success
of their first album with their second album, entitled: Another Level. It was also a breakthrough success, and featured the
hit song "No Diggity," featuring Dr. Dre. It peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and earned the group a Grammy
Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or a Group with Vocals. Their second album went four times platinum, making it
one of the top albums of the decade. MTV and Rolling Stone ranked "No Diggity" at No. 91 on their list of the 100 Greatest
Pop Songs and named the band one of the Top 500 Pop Artists of the Past 25 Years.
They continued to have success throughout
the next few years, gaining fans both as a group and in their solo work. And while the band made personnel changes and spent

their signature hits. Now, you too can see this one-of-a-kind group back in action. Get your tickets today!
