Bloc Party are an English indie rock band that has been compared to such bands as Radiohead, The Cure, Blur, The Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies and Joy Division. The band first formed in 1999 and in February 2005 they released their critically acclaimed debut album called “Silent Alarm” in the United Kingdom and it was an immediate success.
