Blue Rodeo Background

Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor were close high school friends, and instead of getting jobs like all of their other friends, they decided that they should start a band. They began practicing and playing together often, but after having little luck of putting a successful band together in Canada, they decided to move to New York City. They met a good friend and fellow musician, Bob Wiseman, in New York, so when they moved back to Toronto with the hopes of putting together a band, Wiseman was included in the group. Cuddy and Keelor gathered some talented musicians and finally had success with a solid lineup, and the group became Blue Rodeo. This country rock group defined their sound rather quickly, and played their first show in 1985 at The Rivoli in Toronto.

Blue Rodeo quickly became one of the biggest bands in Canada, selling over three million albums throughout their career. The band has even been honored with a star on Canada's Walk of Fame in Toronto and has established itself as one of the premier bands in Canadian history. Throughout the years, Blue Rodeo has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, such as Sarah McLachlan, Burton Cummings, Crash Vegas, Great Big Sea, The Tragically Hip, and more. With seven Juno Awards under their belt, Blue Rodeo has undoubtedly become one of the biggest bands to come out of Canada, and their lengthy career has been incredibly successful.

With a successful career spanning almost three decades, some of Blue Rodeo's biggest hits have been featured in major TV shows and films, such as "Navy SEALS", "Gunless", "Corner Gas", and "Friday the 13th The Series". Without a doubt, Blue Rodeo has been one of the most influential and groundbreaking bands in Canadian history, and now you have the chance to see this legendary group perform live by buying your tickets to one of their upcoming shows on StubHub today!

Greatest Hits

Over the course of their incredibly illustrious career, Blue Rodeo has released 12 studio albums and a whopping 51 singles. Some of their most popular singles include "Try", "Diamond Mine", "Til I Am Myself Again", "Lost Together", "5 Days in May", "Hasn't Hit Me Yet", "Side of the Road", and "It Could Happen to You". With almost three decades of incredible hit singles, it's no wonder why Blue Rodeo has been consistently referred to as one of the best bands to ever come out of Canada.
