About Bob Schneider
Musician Bob Schneider was born to an opera singer, so he was exposed to
music early on. After learning guitar and piano while he was a child, he often performed at his parents' parties. While he
was attending the University of Texas, Schneider dropped out to join his first band, the Joe Rockhead. The band release three
albums, but disbanded before they signed to a major record label. After their demise, Schneider continued to pursue music
professionally, and he started playing with Ugly Americans and also co-founded the band The Scabs. Although neither band managed
to make it into the spotlight, they were popular within the local music scene of Austin.
By 1999, Bob Schneider was
ready to make his mark as a solo artist. Just a couple of years later he made his solo debut with the album "Lonelyland,"
which included tracks like "Metal and Steel," "The World Exploded Into Love," and "Round and Round." He followed up with his
sophomore album, "I'm Good Now," which attracted the attention of critics and fans across the nation. With songs like "Come
With Me Tonight," "The Way Life Is Supposed to Be," and "C'mon Baby," the album was a favorite with fans of his music. Because
of the added attention his second album garnered, his first album enjoyed a bump in airplay as well. Bob Schneider continued
to release several more records, and in 2009, he signed with Kirtland Records. After signing with Kirtland, Schneider released
his most critically acclaimed album, "Lovely Creatures," which spawned the popular hit, "40 Dogs (Like Romeo and Juliet)."
The song garnered significant airplay on the radio and reached the number 14 position on the AAA Radio Chart.
