About the Artist
Born in Ypsilanti,
Michigan, Bob Schneider moved to Germany at the age of two and was raised in Munich. Music was clearly in Bob Schneider's
blood as his father was an opera singer and Bob began playing guitar and piano at a young age. He first performed in front
of his parents' friends during parties but that only served to fuel his desire to follow in his father's footsteps as a professional
musician. In college he formed a rap and funk band Joe Rockhead, but soon dropped out of classes at the University of Texas
El Paso in order to pursue his music career. Soon he was playing with the Ugly Americans and a new band which he fronted,
The Scabs. Both bands became fixtures in the Austin music scene and toured across the country, with the Ugly Americans scoring
an opening slot on a tour with the Dave Matthews Band. By 1999 Bob Schneider had begun pursuing a solo career and released
his first major label solo album, Loneyland in 2000. He has since released several full length recordings and EPs as well
as contributing to soundtracks and compilation albums. his most recent release is 2013's Burden of Proof.
moved quickly for Bob Schneider after beginning his solo career in 1999. The following year he released his solo debut Lonelyland
which spawned many hits and earned him the nationwide attention which had eluded him with his previous bands. The song Bullet
was used in the soundtracks for the major motion pictures Miss Congeniality and Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, while the
song Blue Skies for Everyone was featured in the film Gun Shy. This exposure allowed Bob Schneider to set up national tours
in increasingly large venues and also garnered more attention for I'm Good Now when it was released in 2004. Since then Bob
Schneider has gone on to contribute songs to several other motion picture soundtracks as well as to win numerous Austin Music
