Bonzo Bash Namm Jam Tickets - Bonzo Bash Namm Jam Tour

Bang along with Bonzo Bash Namm Jam

Celebrate the legacy of Led Zeppelin's late drummer John Bonham with an all-star tribute to his lasting influence. If you are a fan of the band or even just skilled playing of the skins, get your Bonzo Bash Namm Jam tickets today -- or miss the fun!

Banda

Aside from the various musicians that participate in the Jam, the Moby Dicks serve as the house band, providing support as each drummer performs his favorite Led Zeppelin track. Often referred to as one of the finest cover bands in rock today, the band takes its name not from the Hemingway classic, but from the Led Zeppelin classic track that featured John Bonham doing his thing. The band consists of Brian Tichy from Whitesnake, Brent Woods from the Vince Neil Band, Chas West of Bonham, James Lomenzo of White Lion and Stephen Leblanc of Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience.

Schedule

The lineup for each Bonzo Bash is subject to change, but some past participants include Bill Ward, who recently received the Bonzo Bash Legends award. Others include Michael Cartellone of Damn Yankees, Anton Fig of the David Letterman Band, AJ Pero of Twisted Sister, Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater, Johnny Kelly of Danzig and Type O Negative, Danny Schuler of Biohazard, Liberty Devitto from Billy Joel's backing band and Jerry Gaskill of King's X. The tour is the brainchild of Brian Tichy, formerly of Whitesnake.

Each show in the Bonzo Bash series features a new lineup of guest drummers, but you can be assured that no matter who shows up, it is going to be a rocking good time from start to finish.

Trivia

Did you know the Led Zeppelin song "Four Sticks" is a reference to the fact that John Bonham played the song while holding four drumsticks? It is true! After not being able to quite get the sound he wanted while the band was recording the track, for the final take, he grabbed another set of drumsticks and beat the drums as hard as he could out of frustration.

To pull off a show like Bonzo Bash Namm Jam, rehearsals alone can involve 52 musicians between the backing band and all the individual drummers that will be performing with them. That is a lot of coordination! Some performers choose to attack their song head on in the traditional manner, while others put together their own twist on the biggest hits.

Breakthrough

John Bonham has his breakthrough with Led Zeppelin, which had its first tours in 1968. Their debut came with the release of their self-titled album, which placed at No. 10 on the Billboard charts, in 1969.

Hit Albums

Following the first album, Led Zeppelin released eight more albums, five of which won awards. The albums Led Zeppelin IV and Led Zeppelin both won the Grammy Hall of Fame award. "Stairway to Heaven" and "Who Lotta Love" are two songs that also won the Grammy Hall of Fame Award.

Show Experience

The Bonzo Bash Namm Jam is a tribute concert of the highest order, celebrating the ultimate drummer. Tichy has been refining the experience since 2010, when he first got the idea to put on such a show. It is an evening dedicated to preserving the memory of Bonzo, as John Bonham was nicknamed.

When you buy your Bonzo Bash Namm Jam tickets, you are gaining admission to one of the most unique concerts you will ever be a part of. Even though a number of big-name drummers will be headlining the show, there is only one drum kit set up, just the way John Bonham set up his. The kit is placed in the middle of the stage, right up front, so each performer is in the spotlight.

You can be sure when buying Bonzo Bash Namm Jam tickets, you are in for a great rock show.
