Boston College Eagles Hockey Schedule
The college hockey season is upon us and that can only mean one thing: the
Silvio O. Conte Forum, the Boston, Massachusetts home of the Boston College Eagles hockey team is one of the most electric
arenas in all of college sports. The Eagles have a long and proud history in the sport and will be looking to defend the Hockey
East regular season title as they go up against all of their biggest conference foes all season long. The fans at Silvio O.
Conte Forum give the Boston College Eagles one of the biggest home ice advantages in all of NCAA hockey making them nearly
impossible to beat at home. College hockey is huge in Boston and tickets to see the Eagles play at home always sell out quickly
so be sure to get yours from StubHub as soon as possible.
The Eagles kick off their home schedule on October 4th when
the New Brunswick Varsity Reds come to town. There are several other big home games this year at Conte Forum this year including
games against the Colorado College Tigers, the Massachusetts Minutemen, the Boston University Terriers, the Harvard Crimson,
the Maine Black Bears, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, the New Hampshire Wildcats, the Michigan Wolverines, the Northeastern
Huskies, the the Merrimack Warriors, the Connecticut Huskies, the Providence Friars, the Vermont Catamounts, and the UMASS
Lowell Riverhawks. Nothing matches the experience of being inside Silvio O. Conte Forum for a Boston College Eagles home game
and there are plenty of games to choose from to head out to show the Eagles your support during the 2014-2015 season.
The Boston College Eagles are one of the most dominant teams in the history of college hockey and have
been members of Hockey East since 1984. Their legendary head coach, Jerry York, has been with the Eagles for more than two
decades and has more wins than any other coach in the history of the sport. The Eagles are the reigning Hockey East regular
season champions and have participated in the NCAA Tournament five years in a row. The biggest rivals of BC in hockey are
the Boston University Terriers, the University of North Dakota, the New Hampshire Wildcats, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
The 2014-2015 Eagles team looks stacked and they should be more than capable of making a deep run in their sixth straight
trip to the NCAA Tournament at the end of the season.
Boston College Eagles Hockey East
Hockey East has
long been one of the most competitive college hockey conferences in the country and if you need any corroboration to that
fact just ask any long time fan of any of the teams in Hockey East. The league was already one of the toughest in all of college
hockey, but in 2011, to make the conference even better, Notre Dame announced that it was becoming a member, and is now Hockey
East's only member not located in New England. Teams like University of Connecticut, Boston College, Massachusetts, Merrimack,
Maine, UMASS Amherst, UMASS Lowell, New Hampshire, Northeastern, Providence, and Vermont make navigating your way through
the Hockey East schedule a treacherous undertaking for every team looking to come out of the Hockey East regular season and
playoffs unscathed. All of their tough battles during conference play will only serve to make any Hockey East team an even
more formidable opponent come tournament time and postseason play so be ready for them to make their mark on NCAA hockey this
Hockey fans in general are some of the most passionate sports fans around, but
nothing quite matches the fanaticism surrounding college hockey and Boston College Eagles fans are some of the most dedicated
and vociferous fans in the entire NCAA. On game day at the Sylvio O. Conte Forum, the fans file in and take their seats when
the cheering and chanting begins. As the clock winds down closer and closer to the dropping of the puck the crowd works itself
into a frenzy. Finally both teams are ready for face off and the excitement really begins. Thunderous, bone rattling hits,
incredible displays of speed and agility, powerful slapshots, and tremendous saves set the arena on fire for the following
three periods of world class college hockey. By the time the final buzzer sounds your voice is hoarse and your palms are stinging
from clapping and giving high fives and you will already be planning a return trip to the Conte Forum.
