2015 Boston Red Sox Schedule

There is nothing quite like being there when the Red Sox take to the field for a huge matchup, as this is one o the most prominent teams in the league every single season and they have one of the most passionate fan bases that you're going to find anywhere. Put that together and you have the perfect elixir for Major League Baseball, as you end up seeing this game with one of the best backdrops that you're going to find anywhere. Though the Red Sox weren't able to keep up with the Orioles in 2014, the Red Sox still have some big-time talent coming off of their World Series title in 2013 and have added some key pieces that are sure to help make them a major factor in 2015. It won't be easy in what could be the toughest division in baseball, but the Red Sox once again have a star-studded team that has all types of potential this season.

Home games at Fenway Park are sure to be rocking once again, as this is one of the very best places in the world to see a baseball game and you'll see why that is every single time that you head out to the stands. Come out and be there for all of the crucial at-bats of a highly anticipated matchup and it won't take you long to see what all of the buzz is about, as watching baseball at this level is simply something to behold. By the time they're singing Sweet Caroline in the stands, you'll end up with the type of experience that you'll be talking about a long time after the final pitch.

But even though home games are obviously all the rage, you also shouldn't forget about the away games, as they'll give you 81 different opportunities to see the Red Sox do their thing on the diamond. Seeing Red Sox nation on the road is something that every fan needs to experience sooner or later, as this is a well-traveled fan base that provides some big-time support no matter where the Red Sox hit the field. Once you're there in the middle of a nail-biter that could go either way, you'll definitely be glad that you're not sitting anywhere else.

Boston Red Sox Team Info

One look at the roster and you'll see all types of talent, as the Red Sox are never lacking in great players who help them win in a variety of different ways. Get in a shootout with the Red Sox and you have to try to out-slug guys like David Ortiz, Yoenis Cespedes and Dustin Pedroia, though a pitchers' duel means that the Sox could be throwing someone like Clay Buchholz or another top-tier starter who can lock up a lineup in a hurry. The Sox have their sights set on another division title and a return trip to the World Series in 2015, giving you plenty of reasons to head out to see if they have what it takes as they look to take down the Orioles, Yankees, Blue Jays and Rays in the process.

The MLB Experience

Sure, you could watch from home, though there's nothing close to actually being there so you can actually feel the pulse of the crowd in a way that you simply can't from your living room. If you've never been to the stadium for a big MLB game, make sure you change that this season as Major League Baseball looks to crown a champion once again after an intense season of action. This is a sport that has been passed down from one generation to the next and continues to be a top-tier spectator sport for a reason, and that's because there is something about the buzz of the crowd that you're just not going to be able to duplicate anywhere but the stadium. When the game is up in the air and two talented teams are digging in looking to make a big play, it's hard to top baseball played at the highest possible level.

Boston Red Sox History

The Boston Red Sox franchise was founded as the Boston Americans in 1901, and the team became the Boston Red Sox in 1907. The Red Sox had one of the best players to every play the game of baseball in Babe Ruth, but notoriously traded the sport's first superstar following the 1918 season, resulting in what some people considered to be a curse on the franchise that would last decades. The club endured years of losing under the alleged Curse of the Bambino, but broke through in 2004 to win their first World Series since 1918 and added another title just a couple years later. The Red Sox won another World Series in 2013, helping solidify the Red Sox as an absolute juggernaut in the modern era. With great players including Ted Williams, Manny Ramirez, Babe Ruth, Wade Boggs, Jim Rice and many more, this is a franchise that has put together an unbelievable tradition of winning baseball over the years.

Boston Red Sox Trivia

Do you know who holds the record for most hits in a season in Red Sox franchise history?

Though you might think it would be Teddy Ballgame, the answer is Wade Boggs. A third baseman with an uncanny control of his bat, Boggs was one of the greatest pure hitters of all-time, and it really all came together for Boggs in 1985. That year for the Red Sox, Boggs hit a career high.368 with and set the all-time Red Sox record with 240 overall hits. Boggs would then go on to hit.357 or higher in each of his next three seasons as well.
