Indie rock provides a freedom to experiment that other genre simply don't. This facet of the genre made it the perfect
place for Buke and Gass to embark on their unique journey of music. Buke and Gass is a duo made up of Aron Sanchez and Arone
Dyer. Their blending of styles quickly caught the attention of fans, who flocked to Buke and Gass tour dates.
Even the instruments they play set Buke and Gass apart from other names in music. The "buke" is a modified six-string baritone
ukulele played by Arone Dyer, and the gass is a self-created hybrid of guitar and bass. With their personalized instruments,
they began creating music together in the late 2000s, after first playing together in a post-punk noise group called Hominid.
Once they began playing music together, Buke and Gass soon discovered they had something special. They self-released their
debut EP in 2009, and fans soon caught on. The media did as well, calling them out as up-and-comers in the scene. Their varied
interests come together in a way that makes their music completely unique, which explains the attention in Buke and Gass concert dates.
