MLB Q & A for Buyers
Now that StubHub is the Official Fan to Fan Ticket Marketplace of MLB.com, we're introducing new features that will benefit both buyers and sellers of Major League Baseball tickets. We've put together this FAQ to help answer your questions and let you know what's in store for you as a buyer.
Q: Has StubHub integrated with all of the Major League Baseball teams' ticketing systems?
A:

The Boston Red Sox have chosen not to participate at this time. However, you can still buy and sell Red Sox tickets at StubHub!

For all the other teams, the new features will be phased in on a team-by-team basis over the course of the season.

Q: What are the new features and how do they benefit me as a buyer?
A:

For buyers, the biggest new feature is electronic delivery - or eDelivery - of your tickets. With eDelivery, you won't have to wait for a FedEx shipment. Instead, you'll just get an email when your tickets are ready - in some cases, within minutes of placing your order. Then you'll just download them and print them from home to take with you to the game.

Sellers will also be able to include parking passes when they list their tickets.

In the list of tickets for a game, a parking icon will indicate if a parking pass is included with the tickets in a listing.

Q: With all these changes, how will I order Major League Baseball tickets at StubHub?
A:

There are no changes to how you order Major League Baseball tickets at StubHub. All you need to do is find some tickets you want and place your order. However, you'll receive your tickets by electronic delivery - or eDelivery - instead of FedEx.

Q: What is eDelivery - and how does it work?
A:

eDelivery is a new delivery method being introduced at StubHub. With eDelivery, your tickets will be delivered electronically instead of being shipped by FedEx.

eDelivery includes three delivery options:

  • eDelivery
  • Instant eDelivery
  • Will Call/Kiosk

With eDelivery and Instant eDelivery, your tickets will be delivered electronically and you'll print them from home to take to the game.

With Will Call/Kiosk, you won't receive any paper or electronic tickets for your order. Instead, you'll just take your photo ID and purchase credit card to the venue Will Call window or any venue ticket kiosk on the day of the game.

Q: What are the fees for eDelivery?
A:

eDelivery fees are $4.95 per order - the lowest-priced delivery fee at StubHub.

Q: What's the difference between eDelivery and Instant eDelivery?
A:

Like other orders at StubHub, sellers must confirm the eDelivery orders they receive. Sellers have 48 hours to confirm orders, so even though you'll receive your tickets electronically, you won't get them instantly.

Instant eDelivery means the seller gave StubHub instant access to the tickets when the listing was created. That means your order is immediately confirmed as soon as you place it and you'll get your tickets right away.

Q: How can I tell if a set of tickets is available by Instant eDelivery?
A:

In the list of tickets for a game, an instant delivery icon will indicate that the tickets are available by Instant eDelivery.

Q: How do I download and print my tickets?
A:

With eDelivery, you'll receive an email when your tickets are ready with instructions on how to download and print them. Just click the link in your email to download and print your tickets. You'll need a printer that can print e-tickets (such as an ink-jet or laser printer).

Note: In some cases, your tickets will be attached to an email as a PDF file. If so, you'll also need Adobe Reader to view and print your tickets. Once you have installed Adobe Reader, just click the attachment in your email to download and print your tickets.

Q: How do I pick up tickets at Will Call/Kiosk?
A:

When eDelivery (or Instant eDelivery) is the delivery method, Will Call/Kiosk may also be an available delivery option. If Will Call/Kiosk is available, you can select it on the Order Summary page before you place your order.

If you select Will Call/Kiosk, you won't receive any paper or electronic tickets for your order. Instead, you'll just take your photo ID and purchase credit card to the venue Will Call window or any ticket kiosk on the day of the event. Because StubHub is integrating with each Major League Baseball team's ticketing system, your order will be on file in the system at the ball park.

Q: Can someone else pick up tickets at Will Call/Kiosk for me?
A:

Yes. If you're purchasing tickets for someone else, you just need to provide the recipient's name when you place your order. For Will Call/Kiosk orders, the recipient must go to a Will Call window (not a kiosk) to pick up the tickets and their name must be on file for admission to the game.

Q: What if I don't have a printer?
A:

When you place your order, you can select the Will Call/Kiosk option (if available) and pick your tickets up at the venue Will Call window on the day of the event.

If Will Call/Kiosk is not available and you don't have a printer at home, you can print your tickets at a local business that offers printing services, such as any FedEx/Kinko's location.

Q: Is eDelivery only available for Major League Baseball tickets?
A:

Yes. At this time, eDelivery is only available for Major League Baseball ticket orders. However, we'll be introducing it for other types of events soon!

Q: Can I choose FedEx instead of eDelivery when I order Major League Baseball tickets?
A:

No. FedEx is no longer a delivery option for Major League Baseball tickets whose teams are integrated with the StubHub website.
