Cal Bears Football Schedule
Berkeley, California, home of the Cal Bears football team, is overflowing with excitement
each year as the college football season gets underway. The Bears are coming off of a 2013 season that was marred by injuries
and which they and their fans would love to forget. The 2014 season should provide for a drastic turn around for a team that
won only one game last year. Possibly the best thing to come out of spring ball for the Bears was that the team entered the
workouts healthy and emerged without an injury. Similarly exciting was the work of sophomore quarterback Jared Goff who is
showing potential of becoming one of the top quarterbacks in the country. Of course it doesn't hurt that he has a talented
group of receivers who also excelled in spring ball. The Bears look to be capable of really lighting up the scoreboard in
2014 and should be able to score with the best teams in the country. Playing in the tough PAC 12 means that the Bears will
have their hands full going up against the likes of Stanford, Oregon, Arizona State, and others, but if they can avoid the
injuries that plagued the team last year, Cal should be able to make a big move up the PAC 12 standings. The Bears will be
looking to get every bit of home field advantage they can which means they will be relying on their biggest fans showing up
on game day to make some serious noise.
The first home PAC 12 game for the Bears takes place on September 27th when
the Colorado Buffaloes come to town. This is definitely a winnable game and the Bears need to pile up as many home conference
games wins as possible if they plan on moving up in the standings. On October 24th the Oregon Ducks come to Kabam Field at
California Memorial Stadium to take on the Cal Bears. Oregon has been one of the best teams in the country later and the Bears
can make a strong statement that they have put the disastrous 2013 season behind them by scoring a big win against the Ducks.
The biggest home game of the year will take place on November 22nd when the Cal Bears take on the Stanford Cardinal. This
is one of those rivalry games where records don't matter and you can be sure that it will be a closely contested, fierce battle.
The Bears also have home games against UCLA, BYU, Washington, and Sacramento State this season so there are plenty of great
games to choose from, just get your tickets from StubHub and start preparing your tailgate.
Cal Bears have put the disastrous 2013 season behind them and are looking to prove to the rest of the football world that
last season was just a fluke. Quarterback Jared Goff will be feasting on opposing defenses throwing the ball to one of the
best groups of wide receivers in the country made up of Chris Harper, Kenny Lawler, and Bryce Treggs. Head coach Sonny Dykes
needs to avoid another season like 2013 if he plans on keeping his job and will surely have his team fired up and willing
to give it their all right from the start. Be sure to get out to Kabam Field at California Memorial Stadium to support the
Bears in their bounce back season.

Cal Bears PAC 12
The Bears play in the PAC 12 conference which is annually one of the top conferences in all of football. One
of the things that makes the PAC 12 so special is that each of the schools who were members of the PAC 10 have in-state rivals
with whom they engage in bitter battles each season. Teams like Oregon, UCLA, Stanford, and USC are the traditional powerhouses
in the conference but all of the other schools in the conference are capable of pulling off big upsets and seemingly coming
from out of nowhere to win their division as Arizona State did in 2013 when they emerged as the champions of the PAC 12 South.
If you are looking to see some of the best college football games of the year featuring athletes competing at the highest
level you have come to the right place in the PAC 12.
The Cal Bears have won 5 national championships
though the most recent was back in 1937. Four of the five championships were won in consecutive years, 1920, 1921, 1922, and
1923 under legendary head coach Andy Smith.
