Calvin Harris burst onto the electronic music scene seemingly overnight, going from posting
his amateur electroclash music online to signing with one of the biggest labels in music in one fell swoop. His success story
is not pure luck, however-- his ability to deftly craft complex beats and infectious hooks simultaneously sets him apart from
his peers within the genre and earns him the status he enjoys as one of the most innovative and in-demand DJs in the world.
Calvin Harris has spent his professional career selling out clubs from Ibiza to Las Vegas and he continues his global domination
with a new tour that will bring him to all corners of the globe.
Harris' singles, "Ready for the Weekend," "I'm Not
Alone" and "Worst Day," topped the charts in the UK and were featured in advertisements and film, and the exposure and notoriety
he gained from these placements along with his reputation for being one of the best performers in the industry launched Calvin
Harris into the next echelon of fame. Now, you can hear all of these classic hits and the artist's latest tracks when you
see him perform in person. He is currently on tour and will be making stops in Las Vegas, Belfast, Dublin, London and Glasgow.
Not only is Calvin Harris a talented DJ and singer, but he is also a talented songwriter and music producer
who has worked with some of the biggest names in the music business. Before Harris was releasing his first album, he was having
trouble getting a record company to bite. He caught the attention of Australian singer Kylie Minogue, and the two struck up
a friendship. Harris co-wrote two of her songs on her 2007 album, X, and helped to produce the tracks. He worked with the
singer again in 2010 on her Aphrodite album.
Harris has also worked with rapper Dizzee Rascal, helping to produce his
single "Dance wiv Me," which went platinum. The artist has also appeared on tracks by fellow DJ and producer Tiesto's song
"Century," and rapper Example's album, Won't Go Quietly. Everything Harris touches seems to turn to gold, and it is obvious
that he has a long career ahead of him.
About the Artist
