Canterbury Park History
Canterbury Park is a horse racing track that first opened back in 1985. Since then many
exciting races have been held at this venue, as well as great music concerts and festivals. Originally known as Canterbury
Downs, the venue changed its name to Canterbury Park in 1995. Fans have packed into the stands at Canterbury Park to see some
incredible races and dazzling spectacles. It continues to host some fantastic events each and every year, and you can be there
for the next great spectacle.

a horse race track that runs a meet consisting of 69 racing days from early May to Labor Day, mostly holding scheduled races
Thursday through Sunday, with racing added on several holidays throughout each meet. Also including a poker room with 34 tables,
there is no shortage of things to entertain you at this Park. There are some great non-racing events coming down the pipe
at Canterbury Park in the near future. On July 20th the Vans Warped Tour will be coming to Canterbury Park. Fans will have
the chance to see a variety of artists at this event, as some of the top artists in the music business will be on hand to
entertain all in attendance. In September the Festival Palomino will hit this venue with artists like Trampled by Turtles,

a day during races, this poker room's card club is the only thing open when the racing season is over, so there is always
something going on at this venue.
