The original Andrew Lloyd Weber production is based on a book of poems by T. S. Eliot, “Old Possum’s Book
of Practical Cats.” The play loosely follows the book, keeping and expanding on some of the unique characters Eliot
wrote about: Macavity, Rum Tum Tugger, Bustopher Jones and Old Deuteronomy are just a few. Each has a unique, extravagant
personality you won’t soon forget. The play is somewhat plotless, revealing to the audience the assortment of odd
cats, their backgrounds and their ways.
By now internationally renowned and beloved, “Cats” allows audiences to enter a world unlike any other. The
characters and songs are unique and will stay with you for long after you leave the theater. As a classic of the musical
stage, “Cats” is a great family fun. Theater tickets to “Cats” are
