Cedric Gervais Background
Grammy Award-winning DJ and producer Cedric Gervais relocated to South Beach in world-famous Miami Beach while still in his
teens. The teen managed to garner residencies at Crobar (now Cameo) and Nikki Beach, before dominating the Club Space Terrace
as the DJ there. "Burning" was his debut single. His first album was The Experiment, which included the track, "Spirit in
My Life." Gervais is credited with doing production work for Deep Dish, Steve Lawler, Lenny Kravitz and Rachel Star.
track, "Mauri's Dream" (2009), earned Pete Tong's Essential Tune of the Week three consecutive weeks. In 2011, he issued his
sophomore album, titled Miamication. In the spring of 2012, the single, "Molly," arrived, which was supported by a very lewd
music video. The single was yet another Pete Tong Essential Tune of the Week and climbed to No. 26 on the UK charts. The video
itself scored more than 2.5 million views on YouTube. "Molly" netted the No. 1 spot on the Buzz and Cool Cuts charts as well.
In 2013, Gervais produced several remixes: Katy Perry's "Wide Awake," Borgore's "Decisions," Willy Moon's "Yeah Yeah" and
Lana Del Rey's "Summertime Sadness."
The "Summertime Sadness" remix peaked at No. 1 on Beatport and settled in there
for two weeks in February. The single was included on BBC Radio One's A-List, snagging the No. 4 spot on the Official UK Charts.
The track also garnered the No. 6 slot on the American Billboard chart. MTV reviewed the remix and so did The Daily Star.
The track also claimed double platinum status in the U.S. And, Gervais earned a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non
Classical for the tune.
Two of Gervais' singles were also included on the soundtrack for Michael Bay's 2013 film, Pain
& Gain. In the fall of 2013, Gervais kicked off his 'Miamication' Radio Show.

Cedric Gervais Trivia
Cedric Gervais is a musical genius, constantly flexing his creative and musical muscles with each performance and amazing
release, it might be surprising to some that he has moved past the realm of music and into the world of acting. It's true,
while he still puts plenty of time into his impending musical releases and going in intense tour regimens much to the joy
of his massive fan base, he has broken into the world of film in a big way with a part in the 2013 film "Pain & Gain",
alongside two of his tracks making a splash in the film as well. While the role wasn't the biggest, as he plays a DJ not too
unlike himself, Cedric worked alongside Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. This was a big start for a small role,
but who knows what the future has in store for Cedric Gervais and his acting career.
