        Comedian and actor Cheech Marin stumbled upon his fate as part of the duo Cheech and Chong when he fled to Canada in the '60s to avoid the Vietnam War draft. Marin hooked up with Tommy Chong while in Vancouver, and the two soon thereafter became one of the most renowned comedy acts of the '70s and '80s. After Cheech and Chong went their separate ways, Cheech Marin still remained a fixture on the entertainment scene, selling out theater tickets with comedy tours and also making appearances in films and TV programs.

        Since his rise to fame in the comedy world, Cheech Marin has become known for his comedy routines as well as in voiceovers for films he does. Marin has contributed his voice to Disney films like Oliver and Company and The Lion King, and he's also kept in the spotlight with his role on tours such as the Up in Smoke Tour and Light Up America Tour.
